The Dancing Queen

10 Months!

Stats for the month:

Foods: she still loves to feed herself puffs, crunchies and mum-mums, we're working on peas, squash, carrots and so on.

Clothes: 9-12 months

Teeth: 2 on the bottom, and three on the top are poking through
Sleeping: through the night, from 6:30pm to 7am. We are slowly weaning her off of the dream-feed.

Getting Around: crawls everywhere and pulls up on everything in sight. She walks along furniture but has yet to take any steps by herself.

Words: dad and yeah

Likes: to be held - she is currently being detoxed from the holidays...
Tricks: give high-fives, wave and she'll put her arms up when you say touchdown

We had such a great week and weekend - it's hard to believe that Thanksgiving is just around the corner....

Video #2 - Recycled Puffs - Russ and I thought this was hilarious the first time she did it, now...not so much! She is pretty good at feeding herself "puffs" but she sucks on them till they get mushy and spits them back out. Real fun to clean up, let me tell ya...

8 1/2 months...

It's hard to believe that Claire is almost 9 months old... how time flies!

Over the last two weeks, she has changed so much. She is full out crawling - and once she gets moving you better get out of her way! This week she has started "pulling up" on everything in sight - or at least tries to.

Here's a few of her stats:
Foods: all of the normal veggies and fruits, she loves applesauce, pears and bananas. Her favorite veggie is peas - or sweet potatoes. She also feeds herself "puffs"
Clothes: 6 months

Teeth: 2 on the bottom, and 1 on the top is about to poke through any day now
Hair: finally starting to come in - it's looks like it will be a dark brown.

Sleeping: through the night, from 7pm to 7am (sometimes 6:30). We still pick her up at 10pm for the dream feeding. She will only sleep on her tummy...
Getting Around: crawls everywhere and is starting to pull up
Sounds: she loves to sing to herself and babbles to whoever will listen
Likes: to be held, go for walks, and her puppy - Tuff

Favorite Toys: Sally her cow, Gerald the Giraffe, she loves wooden spoons and tupperware too!

Travels: she has been to Kansas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and all over Texas

Happy 8 Months Claire Bear!!

Busy Baby

Claire has become quite the busy little lady...

It's become difficult to take pictures of her, because she thinks the camera should be her toy or she won't stay still. It is strange how you can't wait for your baby to reach the next milestone - whether it be sitting, crawling, etc - but once they reach it, you miss how they relied on you so much. Maybe that's just me...

Reason #1 - interested in camera:

Reason #2: baby on the move... she is always crawling to the dog.

Mommy's Girl?

Since Claire's arrival, we've heard so many times that she looks just like her daddy...
This picture says it all.
No argument there...

However, I just found a picture from our slide show at our rehearsal dinner - and I think she is starting to look like me! :)

Not sure how old I was here, but I think we look alike.

We may look more alike these days, but she definitely takes after her daddy...

First Timer

I never thought I would be the kind of person interested in blogging - but here goes nothin.
Tomorrow Claire turns 7 months old. It seem like it was just yesterday that we brought her home from the hospital...

She is now sitting up by herself and "rocking" on all fours.
This morning, while we were putting her in the carseat, she kept saying "dadadada" with the biggest smile! Russ was one happy camper! :)
